We repair laptops from every major manufacturer at our workshop in Bermondsey. What a repair involves depends heavily on the model, so the quickest route to a useful answer is to find your laptop by model number.

Short runtime, sudden shutdowns and swollen batteries. We measure the old battery before recommending a new one.

Loose charging sockets, dead USB-C ports and laptops that show no sign of life.
Keyboards and trackpads
Dead or sticking keys, liquid-damaged keyboards and trackpads that have stopped clicking.
Hinges and casing
Stiff hinges, cracked lids and bases that have split around the hinge mounts.
Liquid damage
Spills cleaned and repaired at board level, before corrosion finishes what the liquid started.

No power, no picture and random shutdowns traced to the failed component and repaired on the board.
Overheating
Loud fans, heat and slowdowns fixed by cleaning the cooling system and renewing the thermal compound.
Viruses and Windows
Malware removed, Windows repaired or reinstalled, and Windows 10 machines moved to Windows 11 where the hardware qualifies.
Why the model matters
Two laptops sold under the same name can differ in ways that change the repair. One Inspiron has a charging socket on a short cable that takes minutes to swap; another has it soldered to the motherboard. One ThinkPad has two memory slots; the next generation has half its memory soldered. Each model page on this site sets out what is true for that machine.
What we will not pretend
- Soldered memory and soldered storage cannot be upgraded. We tell you before you pay for anything.
- A firmware or BIOS password is removed only with proof that the laptop is yours.
- If the repair costs more than the laptop is worth, we say so and offer to recover the files.
