Memory
Memory in the Dell Pro 13 Premium is soldered and cannot be upgraded. It is worth knowing this before paying anyone for a memory upgrade.

Known issues with the Dell Pro and Dell Pro Max (2025 onward) range
- These are recent machines, and many are still inside the manufacturer’s warranty. Check that first, as a warranty repair costs you nothing.
- In 2025 Dell replaced the Inspiron, Latitude and Precision names with Dell, Dell Pro and Dell Pro Max, and the XPS name returned in 2026. The model code on the base label, not the marketing name, is what we match parts to.
- Memory is soldered on the thinner models in this range and slotted on others, so we check the exact configuration before quoting an upgrade.
Data recovery from the Dell Pro 13 Premium
The SSD in the Dell Pro 13 Premium can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.
