We replace the 16-inch panel like-for-like, matching resolution and connector to the part number on the original.

We replace worn charging sockets and repair USB-C ports and charging circuits at component level. The adapter is tested first, because it is the cheapest thing to be wrong.
SSD and storage upgrade
The Dell 16 Plus takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Whether memory can be upgraded on the Dell 16 Plus depends on the exact configuration. We check against the serial number before quoting.

The Dell 16 Plus shipped with Windows 11. We repair start-up faults, reinstall Windows cleanly with your files kept, and remove malware.

Notes from the workshop

- These are recent machines, and many are still inside the manufacturer’s warranty. Check that first, as a warranty repair costs you nothing.
- In 2025 Dell replaced the Inspiron, Latitude and Precision names with Dell, Dell Pro and Dell Pro Max, and the XPS name returned in 2026. The model code on the base label, not the marketing name, is what we match parts to.
Data recovery from the Dell 16 Plus
The SSD in the Dell 16 Plus can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the Dell 16 Plus be upgraded?
The SSD can be replaced with a larger M.2 drive. Memory depends on the configuration, which we check from the serial number.
