This page sets out the repairs, upgrades and data recovery we carry out on the Samsung Galaxy Book Go, with notes on what tends to go wrong and what can and cannot be upgraded. The Samsung Galaxy Book Go is a 2021 laptop with a 14-inch screen, identified by model number NP340XLA. What we repair on the Samsung Galaxy Book Go
Screen replacement
The 14-inch OLED panel is replaced like-for-like, matched by the part number on the original so that resolution, brightness and colour are the same as before.

Memory
Memory in the Samsung Galaxy Book Go is soldered and cannot be upgraded. It is worth knowing this before paying anyone for a memory upgrade.
Windows repair and reinstall
The Samsung Galaxy Book Go meets Microsoft’s Windows 11 requirements in most configurations. We upgrade from Windows 10, which reached end of support in October 2025, or reinstall Windows 11 cleanly with your files kept.
Battery replacement
A new internal battery is fitted and tested through a full charge and discharge. A battery of this age that swells should be replaced before it damages the trackpad or casing.

Charging port and power repair
Charging is over USB-C. A loose or dead port is replaced where it is a separate part, or repaired on the motherboard where it is soldered.
Storage
The Samsung Galaxy Book Go has soldered eMMC storage that cannot be replaced. Some versions have a spare M.2 slot, which we check for.
We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the Samsung Galaxy Book Go, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
Notes from the workshop
- Galaxy Book memory is soldered; most models have a replaceable M.2 SSD.
- The AMOLED panels are thin and are replaced like-for-like by part number.
- The model code beginning NP on the base label identifies the exact version.
Data recovery from the Samsung Galaxy Book Go
Storage in the Samsung Galaxy Book Go is soldered to the board. If the machine will not start, recovering files means repairing the board enough to read the storage, so the repair and the recovery are the same job.

Where the Samsung Galaxy Book Go sits in the range
Its nearest relatives in the Samsung Galaxy Book range are the newer Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 14-inch (2023). Storage differs too: eMMC, soldered on the Samsung Galaxy Book Go, M.2 SSD, replaceable on the Samsung Galaxy Book3 Pro 14-inch. It is the earliest 14-inch model of the range that we list.
