We repair the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR at our workshop in Bermondsey, from cracked screens and worn batteries to board faults and data recovery. The Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR is a 2018 laptop with a 15.6-inch screen. Both the drive and, on most configurations, the memory can be upgraded, which makes it a good candidate for a refresh.

What we repair on the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR

Charging port and power repair
Depending on the configuration this charges through a round socket, USB-C or both. We test the adapter, the port and the charging circuit to find which has failed.
SSD and storage upgrade
The Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

Memory upgrade
Whether memory can be upgraded on the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR depends on the exact configuration. We check against the serial number before quoting.
Windows repair and reinstall
The Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR meets Microsoft’s Windows 11 requirements in most configurations. We upgrade from Windows 10, which reached end of support in October 2025, or reinstall Windows 11 cleanly with your files kept.
Battery replacement
A new internal battery is fitted and tested through a full charge and discharge. A battery of this age that swells should be replaced before it damages the trackpad or casing.

We also carry out keyboard and trackpad repair, motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
Notes from the workshop
- Many IdeaPads have some memory soldered and one slot free; some have none free.
- Hinge mounts on IdeaPad and Flex models can break away from the lid or base, especially on thinner chassis.
- Lenovo’s model codes, such as 15ITL6 or 14ALC05, identify the exact generation and processor family, which is what we match parts to.
Data recovery from the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR
The SSD in the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR be upgraded?
The SSD can be replaced with a larger M.2 drive. Memory depends on the configuration, which we check from the serial number.
My Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Usually not. The drive is separate from the fault in most cases, and we can remove it and copy your files even if the machine itself is not worth repairing.
How much does a Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR screen replacement cost?
Price confirmed before work starts. The exact figure depends on the part your machine needs, and we confirm it before any work starts.
Is a 2018 Lenovo IdeaPad 330S-15ARR still worth repairing?
It depends on the fault. A battery, SSD or charging socket is usually worth doing. A major board repair on an older machine may cost more than the machine is worth, and if that is the case we will say so.
