Depending on the configuration this charges through a round socket, USB-C or both. We test the adapter, the port and the charging circuit to find which has failed.

Notes from the workshop
- Acer model numbers such as A515-56 identify the exact chassis; the suffix letters after them matter for screens and motherboards.
- Many Aspire models have an M.2 slot and room for a 2.5-inch drive, sometimes needing a cable kit.
- Aspire hinges are mounted in plastic and are a frequent repair once they stiffen.
Data recovery from the Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-31P
The SSD in the Acer Aspire Go 15 AG15-31P can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.
