What we repair on the Lenovo ThinkPad L570
Screen replacement

Memory upgrade
Most configurations of the Lenovo ThinkPad L570 have SODIMM memory slots, so memory can be increased. We check what is fitted and the maximum the board supports.
Windows repair and reinstall
Windows 11 support depends on the processor: versions with an 8th-generation Intel Core or Ryzen 2000-series chip or newer qualify, and earlier ones do not. We check yours and advise.
Battery replacement
A new internal battery is fitted and tested through a full charge and discharge. On a 2017 machine a worn battery is the likely cause of short runtime, and we measure its capacity before recommending anything else.

Keyboard and trackpad repair
The keyboard is a separate part on most ThinkPads and is replaced without disturbing the rest of the machine. Trackpad and TrackPoint buttons are replaced the same way.
Charging port and power repair
We replace worn charging sockets and repair USB-C ports and charging circuits at component level. The adapter is tested first, because it is the cheapest thing to be wrong.
SSD and storage upgrade
The Lenovo ThinkPad L570 takes an M.2 SSD. We clone the existing drive to a larger one so Windows, programs and files carry over unchanged.

We also carry out motherboard repair, liquid damage repair, overheating and fan repair, hinge and casing repair, virus removal on the Lenovo ThinkPad L570, along with USB, HDMI and audio port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement, webcam and speaker faults, BIOS password removal with proof of ownership and data transfer to a new machine.
What we see on the bench
- ThinkPad E and L series are simple to work on, and most have a replaceable SSD and at least one memory slot.
- Plastic chassis parts around the hinges can crack on older E-series machines.
Data recovery from the Lenovo ThinkPad L570
The SSD in the Lenovo ThinkPad L570 can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start.

Where the Lenovo ThinkPad L570 sits in the range
Its nearest relatives in the Lenovo ThinkPad E and L Series range are the older Lenovo ThinkPad E560 (2016) and the newer Lenovo ThinkPad E580 (2018). Storage differs too: M.2 SSD, replaceable on the Lenovo ThinkPad L570, 2.5-inch SATA drive on the Lenovo ThinkPad E560.
Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the Lenovo ThinkPad L570 be upgraded?
The SSD can be replaced with a larger M.2 drive. Memory is in slots on most configurations and can be increased.
My Lenovo ThinkPad L570 will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Usually not. The drive is separate from the fault in most cases, and we can remove it and copy your files even if the machine itself is not worth repairing.
