What we repair on the Acer Chromebook 311 CB311-9H

ChromeOS recovery
We restore ChromeOS from a recovery image when the device shows a missing or damaged system message, and check its automatic update end date for you.
Battery replacement
We replace the internal battery and check the charging circuit and adapter at the same time. At this age, short runtime and sudden shutdowns usually point to a worn battery and not a board fault.

Data recovery from the Acer Chromebook 311 CB311-9H

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the Acer Chromebook 311 CB311-9H be upgraded?
The eMMC storage is soldered and cannot be replaced. Memory is soldered and cannot be upgraded.
My Acer Chromebook 311 CB311-9H will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Not necessarily, but the storage is on the main board, so the board has to be repaired far enough to read it. Do not keep trying to power it on, and tell us about any backups you have.
Is a 2019 Acer Chromebook 311 CB311-9H still worth repairing?
It depends on the fault. A battery, SSD or charging socket is usually worth doing. A major board repair on an older machine may cost more than the machine is worth, and if that is the case we will say so.
Where do I find the model number on my Chromebook?
The base label shows the model, for example A515-56, plus an SNID number. For this model, look for CB311-9H.
