We repair and upgrade the Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 at our workshop in Bermondsey, from power and start-up faults to storage upgrades and data recovery. It is a mini PC from 2022. Parts are matched to the exact chassis, so the model number matters when we quote.

Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 repairs and upgrades
Power supply repair
A mini PC that shows no signs of life often has a failed external power adapter. We test with a known-good adapter before looking at the board.
SSD and storage upgrade
The Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 has an M.2 slot and, on some configurations, a 2.5-inch bay. Machines that shipped with a hard drive are much faster once moved to an SSD.

Memory upgrade
Most configurations of the Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 have SODIMM memory slots, so memory can be increased. We check what is fitted and the maximum the board supports.
Windows repair and reinstall
The Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 shipped with Windows 11. We repair start-up faults, reinstall Windows cleanly with your files kept, and remove malware.
We also carry out motherboard repair, overheating and fan repair, virus removal on the Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7, along with no-picture and no-boot diagnosis, port repair, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth card replacement and data transfer to a new PC.
Notes from the workshop
- NUC mini PCs use laptop-style memory and M.2 storage, with an external power adapter.
- A NUC that appears dead often has a failed adapter, not a failed board.
- The H in the model code means the taller case with room for a 2.5-inch drive; K is the slim case without one.
Data recovery from the Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7
The SSD in the Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 can be removed and imaged on our own equipment, so files can usually be recovered even when the machine will not start. Recent Windows machines often have device encryption or BitLocker switched on. If so we will need the recovery key, which is normally saved in your Microsoft account.

Questions
Can the SSD or memory in the Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 be upgraded?
The M.2 SSD can be replaced, and some configurations also have a 2.5-inch bay. Memory is in slots on most configurations and can be increased.
My Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7 will not turn on. Is my data lost?
Usually not. The drive is separate from the fault in most cases, and we can remove it and copy your files even if the machine itself is not worth repairing.
How much does it cost to repair a Intel NUC 12 Extreme NUC12DCMi7?
Price confirmed before work starts. The exact figure depends on the part your machine needs, and we confirm it before any work starts.
Where do I find the model number on my mini PC?
The model code, for example NUC10i7FNH, is on the label underneath. For this model, look for NUC12DCMi7.
