SanDisk Data Recovery

SanDisk models we recover

The model numbers below are covered. We recover other SanDisk models too; if yours is not listed, call 020 7237 6805 with the number from the label.

What goes wrong with SanDisk drives

• Extreme and Extreme Pro portable SSDs sold in 2022 and 2023, mainly the 2TB and 4TB versions, had a firmware fault that caused sudden data loss. Affected drives can often still be recovered.
• Most SanDisk USB sticks and all microSD cards are single-chip designs with no separate memory chip to remove, which makes physical recovery slower and more specialised.
• For memory cards, stop taking photos as soon as you notice a problem. New photos overwrite the ones you want back.

What it costs

From £99 + VAT. The price depends on what has gone wrong far more than on how much data there is. Use the data recovery calculator for an estimate. The initial consultation is free, and the price is confirmed before recovery starts.

Questions

Can you recover a SanDisk drive that is no longer detected?

Often, yes. A drive that is not detected usually has an electronic or firmware fault, and the data behind it is intact. We confirm what is recoverable, and the price, before recovery starts.

Does the SanDisk warranty cover data recovery?

Usually not. Most warranties replace the drive without recovering what was on it, and the faulty drive is not returned. Some drives are sold with a data recovery plan, so check yours. Either way, recover the data before sending a drive back.

How do I get it to you?

Bring it to Unit 1 The Willows, 80 Willow Walk, London SE1 5SY, or call 020 7237 6805 to arrange courier collection.
