What goes wrong with Kioxia drives
- The BG series are single-chip drives in the short M.2 2230 size, fitted in Microsoft Surface devices and many thin laptops.
- Most are OEM drives from laptops with BitLocker enabled, so have the recovery key ready.

Can you recover a Kioxia drive that is no longer detected?
Often, yes. A drive that is not detected usually has an electronic or firmware fault, and the data behind it is intact. We confirm what is recoverable, and the price, before recovery starts.
Does the Kioxia warranty cover data recovery?
Usually not. Most warranties replace the drive without recovering what was on it, and the faulty drive is not returned. Some drives are sold with a data recovery plan, so check yours. Either way, recover the data before sending a drive back.
